Nazis and Rebellion
“Anything that makes victory harder is bad.” -Adolf Hitler |
The Nazis also created some new laws because of the White Rose. The Nazis believed that the National Socialists were the most active fighters in war and were going to bring the win to Germany, however, Hitler also stated that the minority needs to rule the government, and that any rebellion going against him is bad in his mind. His speech, "Activating the Party" showed that the Nazis did notice the White Rose, and they did not appreciate their actions.
The Nazi’s also became much more brutal people. They asked Kurt Huber's wife to pay a hefty sum of money for her husbands “wear of the guillotine.” They also started questioning more people after the slightest hint that they may be opposing them. The Nazis were scared of other resistance after the Scholls gained so much national attention. The Nazis were scared that other groups would take them down, so they did everything they could to stop it. |
